As a component of the NAAN MUDHALVAN training program, students enrolled in the "Product Design and Manufacturing 3D Surface Modelling" course had the opportunity to participate in industrial visits. These visits were organized by the Tamil Nadu Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing (TANCAM) to complement the theoretical training with real-world exposure to industries. The industrial visits were a crucial element of the training program, providing students with practical insights into product design and manufacturing processes. During these visits, students had the opportunity to witness firsthand how various industries implement 3D surface modelling techniques in their production and design processes. The exposure allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of the knowledge and skills they acquired during their training.During these visits, students interacted with industry professionals and experts who shared their experiences, best practices, and challenges. The industrial visits not only enhanced students' technical knowledge but also provided them with valuable soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Witnessing real production environments and engaging with professionals in the field instilled a sense of practicality and confidence in the students.
