TNWISE 2025 - Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore

The Fourth edition of TNWISE 2025 (Tamil Nadu Women in Science and Engineering) Hackathon, hosted by TANCAM, took place on March 28, 2025, at Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore. With 380+ teams, 1000+ participants, and 380+ projects from 120+ institutions, the event provided an incredible platform for women in STEM to drive innovation in smart mobility and sustainability. This year’s theme, Transportation and Mobility, focused on developing smart transportation solutions, urban mobility enhancements, and sustainable innovations to address critical challenges in the sector.

The inauguration ceremony event was welcomed by Dr. K.K. @Anil Kumar, Principal, KCT, followed by a presidential address by Dr. Raghupathy S, Director of Strategic Planning and Review, KCT. The chief guest, Mr. Praveen Bhagoji ??????, Senior Project Manager at La Fondation Dassault Systèmes, Special addresses were delivered by Dr. @Hiran Vedam, Co-Founder & Chief Catalyst of Ashwatta, and Ms. Thendral Rajendran, Vice President of Corporate & Industry Relations at TANCAM & Founder of Megathil, both of whom inspired participants with their insights into innovation and entrepreneurship. The inauguration concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. C. @Velmurugan, Professor & HOD Mechanical Engineering, KCT.

The valedictory ceremony was held in the evening at Sarabai Kalam theatre. The session was opened with a welcome address by Mr. @R.S. Mohan Kumar, Assistant Professor at KCT,Chief guest address from Mr. R. Ambalavanan Ramaswamy, IA&AS, Director of EDII TN. Special addresses were delivered by Mr. P M Ravikumar, Former Board Member of Dassault Systèmes India, Wg Cdr P Madhusoodhanan, Director of TANCAM, Mr. M. Karthikeyan, President of CODISSIA - COIMBATORE DISTRICT SMALL INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION, and Mr. Vijayadeepan S M, COO of TANCAM, who emphasized the importance of nurturing women professionals in STEM fields.

The award distribution, where 20 teams were recognized for their outstanding contributions. Among these, 3 top awards were shared by two teams each, while 14 special prizes were presented for promising and innovative ideas. Additionally, 15 internships were offered to students by Dassault Systèmes & TANCAM, reinforcing the importance of practical industry exposure and career development for young women in STEM.
